The Pittsburgh Penguins visited the Trump White House Tuesday afternoon to celebrate their Stanley Cup championship but the visit was curiously kept off of the team’s Twitter account.
As the Penguins wrapped up their visit with Trump, the team didn’t tweet a group photo or a snapshot of players in the green room, but instead announced a call up.
Earlier in the day, the team tweeted their latest Pens Trends video, but nothing about the day’s upcoming White House visit. There was one brief mention on the Pittsburgh Penguins Facebook page and nothing on their Instagram page.
By comparison, the Penguins social media team was all over last year’s visit and even had a special #PensAndPOTUS hashtag.
