Patrick Peterson apologizes for trade demand on 16th hole at Phoenix Open Pro-Am

Patrick Peterson had another demand.

During Wednesday’s Waste Management Phoenix Open Annexus Pro-Am, after sticking his tee shot next to the 16th pin at TPC Scottsdale, the Arizona Cardinals cornerback grabbed the microphone and demanded that the music be turned down. He had a message for fans, and he wanted everyone to hear.

“I just want to apologize to everybody for asking for that trade in the middle of the season,” Peterson said. “I’m here to stay, baby.”

He literally dropped the mic as the crowd erupted.

Back in October, a frustrated Peterson requested to be traded from the Cardinals. Since then, it appears he has decided he doesn’t need a new team, just a new season and a new coach.
